- Eger, Akiva ben Simha Bunem
- (c. 1720-58)German rabbi and author. He was born in Halberstadt and served as rabbi of Zuelz in Upper Silesia. In 1756 he became head of the yeshivah of Pressburg. He was one of the foremost talmudic scholars of his generation. He published novellae on the Talmud and responsa.
